Well everything has been very busy in my life the last few months. First, Steve and I took a four day trip camping out at Big Bend at the begining of March. It was absolutely beautiful but very cold at night. We had some magnificent views during our daily hikes and honestly the stars at night were amazing. I have never seen such beauty. Check out the pictures if you want a glimpse of what we experienced.

Holden is growing like a weed and is a big boy-- at least that is what everyone tells me.
I must say he loves his bottle. At the pediatrician's office he was measured and weighed. Well at four months, he is the size of a seven month old. We were not surprised. I can personally tell you I knew that boy was on the hefty side. He is so cute and such a good baby--smiles all the time, is amazingly verbal and active. What joy he has brought to me, Jenny and Keith. My sister Robbin thinks is the perfect child-- I guess he is at that. I have a few new pics of him-- isn't he cute.

Alison has been working hard and it has finally paid off-- she made it into Nursing School. She starts this Fall and I could not be more proud of her. Bravo and Hats off to this beautiful Granddaughter of mine. Jennifer also has plans for her career path-- I am trying to talk her into Art, but I am not sure if that is going to fly. Right now she is just enjoying being a Mom.

Finally, I have been working long hard hours for months now at CareNow since our clinic went to extended hours during the flu season. The hours are much better now, but I decided to take a leap and move to another position with Parkland Hospital. I am working as the Wound Care Coordinator for the Plastic Surgery Team. I can ride the train to work, and have regular hours 8-5 Monday-Friday. Also, I got the money I wanted. It is the best of all worlds. I start May 18th. God is good.

My Home is My Castle

I moved into my house in August of 2007, but actually purchased it in May 2007. I did alot of rennovations before I moved in. It is a 1950 two bedroom and one bath that is just the right size for me. The backyard is beautiful, but could use a few roses. I am working on that. The inside has all wood floors and houses my grand piano. It is decorated to reflect me and hence the ART DECO thread through its traditional decor.

Camping and Mountain Biking

Steve and I made our first camping trip together to Tyler State Park on Feb 7th-8th. It was great fun. After falling or "ejecting" as Steve calls it, from the mountain bike on several other more technical trails, I finally managed to stay on the bike for the complete trail ride. The trail was more cruising than like an obstacle course. I was very proud of myself. Also, we managed to have a great time for our first camp out together. I think we were made for each other!
